Active Minds at TCNJ
Purpose: “Changing the conversation about mental health.”
All College Theatre
Purpose: All College Theatre (ACT) is an entirely student-run organization for TCNJ students interested in acting, directing, technical production, costumes, props, set construction, lighting, sound, programs, house management, playwriting, and other facets of theatre. The purpose of ACT is to promote the performing arts in the college community by staging and/or sponsoring theatre productions of the highest quality.
Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity
Purpose: Alpha Chi Rho is a national men’s collegiate fraternity whose purpose is to enhance the lifelong intellectual, moral and social development of its members through the guidance of our Landmarks.
Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity
Purpose: To foster and promote brotherly love, to inaugurate a spirit of cooperation and helpfulness, to create a better understanding among our brothers, to encourage vigorous participation in university, college and general activities in our community, to the mutual advantage of all concerned, the Alpha Eta chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity is solemnly dedicated.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Purpose: The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards; promote unity and friendship among college women; alleviate problems concerning girls and women; maintain a progressive interest in college life; and to provide service to all mankind.
Alpha Kappa Delta
Purpose: The purpose of AKD is to study humankind for the purpose of service. We are an honors society that champions scholarship in the study of Sociology. We focus on investigating social problems, providing service for the community, and applying our knowledge through mediums such as a newsletter. The newsletter, SocioNews is a department newsletter run by the members of AKD. Students decide what sociologically relevant personal experiences or events in the department they would like to highlight for fellow students. It is released twice a year, once in the fall semester and again in the spring semester.

Purpose: The purpose of this fraternity shall be to assemble college students in a National Service Fraternity in the fellowship of principles derived from the Scout Oath and Law of the Boy Scouts of America—to develop Leadership, to promote Friendship, and to provide Service to humanity while furthering the freedom that is our national, educational, and intellectual heritage.
Alpha Phi Sigma
Purpose: The purpose of APS is to promote academic excellence by recognizing scholarship and to assist in the development of professional and personal leadership. Furthermore, APS will provide opportunities for service in the community and the profession, as well as, encourage greater communication among the entire criminal justice profession.
Alpha Psi Omega
Purpose: APO will recognize achievement in theatre within the TCNJ community and further develop theatre-related skills and interest. IN addition to resources on campus, APO allows students to build relationships and network with other APO chapters within the region. APO will unify students of various interests and skills. APO will be a space for ACT, TMT, Lyric Theatre and other organization to collaborate and grow through a mutual passion for theatre.

Purpose: A TCNJ student organization committed to raising awareness and helping those in need throughout the country.
American Choral Directors Association
Purpose: As the world’s largest organization for choral directors, the American Choral Directors Association is a network of multi-level leaders who believe in promoting excellence in choral music. The TCNJ student chapter of this organization strives to create opportunities for students to engage in a love of choral music through conventions, networking, workshops, reading sessions, and more. We believe that the sharing of ideas and expertise is vital to the development of our craft as future music educators.
American Marketing Association
Purpose: Allow students outlet to gain Marketing and business skills
American Medical Student Association at TCNJ
Purpose: I think we can all agree that applying to medical school can be a long, comprehensive and exhausting process. One of the things that premedical and undergraduate students excel at is having the ambition and drive to get involved, down and dirty, and diving head first into opportunities to make a difference and see something new. For more than 50 years, AMSA has been dedicated to serving the needs of physicians-in-training. Premedical students are most certainly physicians-in-training, and are encouraged to join in on the opportunities that AMSA can offer students.
American Society of Civil Engineers
Purpose: The first purpose of ASCE is to provide networking and professional opportunities to its members as well as all engineering students. The second purpose of ASCE is to educate both its members and young adults on the field of civil engineering.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers
Purpose: Our club aims to share, educate, and celebrate mechanical engineering. We host: tours, workshops, technical seminars, professional dinners and more.
Animal Benefits Club
Purpose: The Animal Benefits Club aims to improve the lives of homeless animals in Mercer County by providing volunteer services and raising public awareness.
Purpose: The Arabic Club aims to promote study of the Arabic language and raise awareness of Arab customs and culture in the campus community. The club will allow members to practice Arabic with one another, meet with professors for practice, hold events to educate the campus community about Arabic customs and culture, report from the Arabic news stations such as Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya and organize for well-known Arabic speakers and singers appear at events that will be open to the campus community.
Art Student Association
Purpose: To get members of the community involved and interested in art. We seek to make the campus more creative while building the community further and engaging students outside of the classroom.
Asian American Association
Purpose: The purpose of this organization is to promote greater recognition of Asian cultures, history, and heritage to The College of New Jersey Community. In addition, it shall support and focus on the needs of Asian students, faculty, staff. This is to be achieved through educational, cultural, and social programs, activities, and projects.
Association for Computing Machinery
Purpose: ACM seeks to enrich and strengthen the Computer Science community by providing an atmosphere conducive to learning about computing technology. ACM is open to all members of the campus community who are passionate about computing as a science, as a hobby, or as a profession. We hope that through tech presentations, thoughtful discussions, fun computing events and activities, we succeed in spreading the knowledge and wonders of Computer Science.
Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques
Purpose: TCNJ ACM SIGGRAPH is dedicated to the generation and dissemination of information on computer graphics and interactive techniques. The organization’s stated values are excellence, integrity, volunteerism, passion, and cross-disciplinary interaction.
Association for Music Production and Discussion, The
Purpose: The purpose of TCNJ AMP’D is to bridge music production, recording, and performance together in order to create an environment that allows for music project collaboration as well as music discussion between TCNJ students. This will be accomplished via weekly meetings in a recording studio and computer laboratories. Events include music discussions, community service through music performance, social events, recording, and music production.
Association of Students for Africa
Purpose: The Association of Students for Africa is an organization whose aim is to increase the awareness of the African culture, diversity and its people amongst the entire student and faculty at The College of New Jersey. This organization will serve as a community for students/faculty from Africa, interested in Africa and connected to Africa. Its goals are to amend the misconceptions of the African people, cultures and places, in order to better communication between African people and all other members of the college community. We strive to encourage activities that portray the cultural treasures of the African continent.
Purpose: The purpose of this organization is to promote greater recognition of the Filipino culture, history, and heritage to The College of New Jersey community. In addition, it supports and focuses on the needs of Filipino students, faculty, and staff. This is achieved through educational, cultural, and social programs, activities, and projects.
Purpose: Best Buddies is an international organization dedicated to promoting friendships between people with and without disabilities. Our chapter hosts events to promote the inclusion of students with disabilities throughout our campus.
Beta Alpha Psi
Purpose: Beta Alpha Psi is a national honors organization for Accounting and Finance majors, who have completed a minimum 30 credits and earned a minimum 3.0 GPA. As a premiere professional business and financial information organization, BAP recognizes academic excellence and complements members’ formal education by providing interaction and networking among students, faculty, and professionals.
Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society
Purpose: This prestigious national honor society’s purpose is to promote scholarship in the biological sciences, to promote dissemination of biological knowledge and to encourage research.

Purpose: The purpose of this Society shall be to encourage and reward scholarship and accomplish¬ment among students of business and administration, to promote the advancement of education in the art and science of business, and to foster integrity in the conduct of business activities.
Biomedical Engineering Society
Purpose: The mission of the chapter shall be to promote the profession of biomedical engineering through the organized effort of this group in study, research, and discussion of the fields of biomedical engineering and the dissemination of knowledge thereby gained. The chapter shall promote membership in the BMES by acquainting the student body with the ideas, purposes, and objectives in BMES.
Black Student Union
Purpose: Our mission, henceforth, shall be to aid in the growth of students of the African Diaspora into agents that are culturally, socially, intellectually, and psychologically equipped with the instruments necessary to promote positive change and engagement within both The College of New Jersey and the greater New Jersey community. The Black Student Union shall aim to educate The College of New Jersey campus in all facets of Black History, culture and experiences.
BlackOut Step Team
Purpose: “The purpose of BlackOut Step Team is to provide an outlet for students of various ethnicities who enjoy the art of step, and to add to the diversity of The College of New Jersey’s extracurricular activities. We strive to offer students an intense and exciting way to express themselves by reintroducing the familiar art of step. As a group we hope to bring fun, motivation, knowledge, and positive energy to Campus life via uplifting performances, informational programming, and community service.”
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, TCNJ
Purpose: Our purpose is to teach any and all interested individuals in the fundamentals of both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and other styles of martial arts.
Purpose: Canterbury House provides a Christian frame of reference and spiritual guidance to students interested in thoughtfully exploring who God is calling them to be in the world.
Catholic Campus Ministry
Purpose: CCM at The College of New Jersey, stands at the intersection of the college and the Roman Catholic Church, specifically as it falls within the Diocese of Trenton, seeking the integration of faith and reason in the individual student, complimenting the knowledge of academia with the teachings of Jesus Christ, in order to promote faithful leaders, open to the inspiration and movement of the Holy Spirit.
Purpose: The purpose of Chabad at TCNJ is to educate the campus community on the traditional, cultural and spiritual aspects of Judaism, through providing access to Shabbat services and programming, holiday celebrations, Israel programming, community outreach, and educational and social events, all under the halachic (jewish law) guidelines. We aim to demonstrate how an ancient tradition can still be celebrated and appreciated with modern and fun experiences.
Purpose: The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Cheerleading Team is comprised of a talented group of athletes who dedicate their time in support of TCNJ and its varsity sports teams. The team cheers for all home football games, as well as men’s and women’s basketball games. The team also competes annually at the Universal Cheerleading Association’s College National Championships held in Orlando, FL.
Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority Incorporated
Purpose: We, the members of, Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Incorporated, aware of the prejudices and obstacles facing the minority women of our communities, dedicate ourselves to improving these conditions and to working towards the betterment of all women. We have unified ourselves through the sisterhood of Corazones Unidos Siempre and by our Founders’ ideals of open communication and community service, as well as the development of political, educational, cultural and social awareness. We devote ourselves to this challenge, to be achieved through hard work, patience and the collective effort to educate, as is exemplified in our motto, ‘Wisdom Through Education’.
Chinese Student Association
Purpose: Our purpose is to provide students with the opportunity to learn and socialize with others; and in the process, raise awareness of Chinese and Asian-American culture. It is our goal to increase diversity at the College of New Jersey through events and performances that display various aspects of Chinese culture. As both a social and cultural organization, we are dedicated to providing members with educational, cultural, and social opportunities to enhance their overall college experience.
Circle K International
Purpose: Circle K is a collegiate community service organization, associated with Key Club and Kiwanis, that is dedicated to developing college and university students into a global network of responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to service.
Circle of Compassion
Purpose: The Circle of Compassion is a student-driven club at TCNJ that strives to promote the skills of compassion and mindfulness throughout campus by group discussion, institutional change, and compassionate action.
Purpose: Spreading fellowship and joy through the arts of flow and circus performance and practice. Come on by to learn juggling, hooping, diablo, unicycling, balance and more!
Club Sport Baseball
Purpose: The purpose of TCNJ Baseball Club is to create a competitive atmosphere that promotes athletic and academic success.
Club Sport Bowling
Purpose: The purpose of the TCNJ Bowling Club will be to bring together TCNJ sudents interested in bowling in a competitive atmosphere among other college/university bowling clubs. Accomplished by joining the EPMIBC (Eastern Pennsylvania and Maryland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference).
Club Sport Crew
Purpose: TCNJ Crew is a club rowing team at The College of New Jersey. The club’s purpose is to competitively practice and race in the sport of intercollegiate rowing.
Club Sport Dance Team
Purpose: To promote school spirit on the TCNJ campus and within the local community.
Club Sport Field Hockey
Purpose: We are a competitive and fun team that is open to women and men. We have a fall and spring season, but during our main season in the Fall we seek to go to the national championship, which we have achieved a good enough record to go to the last three years!

Purpose: The purpose of TCNJ Ice Hockey is to foster a competitive and collegial environment for students who wish to continue playing hockey at a higher level.
Club Sport Lions Fencing
Purpose: The purpose of TCNJ Fencing will be to allow TCNJ students to enjoy the sport of fencing, by learning the techniques and strategies and practicing the learned skills. Instruction will be led by the experienced, and volunteer coach, as well as experienced executive board members. Additionally, the TCNJ Lions Fencing Club will host friendly competition within the club, and against other schools.

Club Sport Men’s Soccer
Purpose: The College of New Jersey’s Men’s Club Soccer Team is a student-run, student-financed, campus organization that provides a competitive, yet fun environment for males to play soccer at an intercollegiate level. Our team is a medium for athletes to play soccer that is more competitive than intramurals, but not as time consuming as varsity. Also, our team plays many other club teams in the tri-state area and is driven by teamwork, sportsmanship, and the love of soccer.
Club Sport Men’s Volleyball
Purpose: We are a competitive team that accepts players of all levels. Regardless of individual experience, we aim to raise everyone’s skills and knowledge, while having a great time.
Club Sport Swimming
Purpose: TCNJ Club Swimming is a great way to participate in swim meets and events throughout the semester and an excellent way to meet new people. Structured practices are held every day of the week, but are not manditory. It is a great way for one to partake in a great club that is always looking for new members. Practices are held at the TCNJ pool located in Packer Hall. Come out and experience a fun and healthy way to stay active on campus!

Purpose: To encourage and instruct the playing of Table Tennis at The College of New Jersey.

Purpose: The purpose of TCNJ Ultimate is to give students a chance to learn about, practice, and play ultimate. This will be accomplished through practices, on campus events, pick-up games, and tournaments.

Purpose: TCNJ Women’s Club Basketball is a competitive club that participates in the East Coast Women’s Club Basketball League, traveling to other schools for tournaments.

Purpose: We are the Women’s Club Flag Football team. We play in the intramural league on campus in the fall, as well as going to a few tournaments.

Purpose: The College of New Jersey’s Women’s Club Lacrosse Team is an on-campus organization both run and financed by students that allows women to participate in lacrosse at an intercollegiate level in both a competitive and fun way.

These women exemplify teamwork and unity on and off the field as they follow their motto of “so much more than a team”. The team participates in various activities on campus such as intramural sports and Relay for Life.
Club Sport Women’s Softball
Purpose: Our organization is composed of hard-working and determined players who are passionate about playing softball. We provide a welcoming and fair, yet competitive environment. We are part of the National Club Softball Association (NCSA) in the North Atlantic East Region and compete against teams throughout the region. We practice three times a week during the spring and fall seasons. Our goal is to make it to the national championship in Georgia next year!”

Colleges Against Cancer
Purpose: The American Cancer Society Colleges Against Cancer is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty, and staff dedicated to saving lives from cancer by initiating and supporting programs of the American Cancer Society in college communities.
Criminology Student Association
Purpose: The purpose of the CSA is to provide professional development for students through guest speakers and related field trips; to promote social interaction among students interested in criminal justice; and to provide students with a forum in which to discuss issues related to criminology.
Purpose: TCNJ Crossfit looks for athletes of all levels to share out love of fitness, nutrition, and the sport of Crossfit. No experience necessary!
Deaf Hearing Connection, The
Purpose: The purpose of the Deaf-Hearing Connection is to increase campus-wide awareness regarding the Deaf community and its culture.

Foundation for the International Medical Relief of Children
Purpose: Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC) is dedicated to improving the lives of children worldwide by providing medical support and health education. As its primary mission, FIMRC establishes and maintains pediatric medical clinics in underserved regions in South America, Asia, and Africa.
Purpose: The primary goal of The TCNJ French Club is to involve students in activities aimed at increasing interest, knowledge, and appreciation of French Culture (Art, Cuisine, Fashion, etc.). The TCNJ French Club will also promote the understanding, study, and appreciation of the French language.

Gospel United Ministries
Purpose: The TCNJ Gospel Choir Ministry is an inter-denominational music ministry. Its purpose is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, beginning with the campus and extending it to everyone who comes in contact with the organization, building people to help others.
Haitian Student Association
Purpose: The purpose of the Haitian Student Association at The College of New Jersey is to promote the awareness, respect and better understanding of the Haitian history, culture, politics, and traditions via social and cultural programs designed to further educate the TCNJ community. The Haitian Student Association intends to encourage diversity within the organization while seeking to introduce the TCNJ community to the history, culture, foods and traditions of Haiti, Haitians and the Haitian American community.

Purpose: An online magazine for college age women. A great way for aspiring writers and communications professionals to gain experience in the media industry. Topics include health, beauty, fashion, campus events and current events.

Promoting Jewish culture by educating the campus community about Judaism and Jewish Civilization, including Global Jewish History, Religious Practice, Philosophy, and Jewish Current Events 2. Purpose: INK’s purpose is to bring TCNJ’s creative writing community together–creative writers and avid readers of fiction and poetry are welcome. We provide our membership with opportunities to meet famous authors and poets, to share, perform, and publish their original creative work, and most importantly, to write, and be inspired to keep writing.
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Student Chapter, The
Purpose:To introduce students to the various fields within the electrical and computer engineering disciplines, as well as to provide social and networking opportunities among students and experts in the fields.
Institute of Management Accountants Student Chapter
Purpose: We, the undergraduate students of The College of New Jersey, primarily focus on promoting the professional and personal development of its members. We provide members with opportunities for academic, personal, and professional development so they may contribute effectively and ethically to society and their organizations. In cooperation with the TCNJ Accounting program, we provide additional perspectives and supplemental information concerning public, private, and governmental accounting through carefully planned social and business-oriented events.
Purpose: We, the Interfraternity Council, exist to promote the shared interests and values of our member fraternities: leadership, service, brotherhood, and scholarship. We believe in Fraternity and that the shared values of Fraternity drive the IFC to create better communities, better chapters, and better men. Purpose: International Business Association is a student-run organization that provides members with a forum for discussion of pertinent issues in international business. It offers an opportunity for members to network with colleagues and business people, supplies information on educational and career opportunities, and contributes to the awareness of increasing globalization of commerce.
International Studies Club
Purpose: The International Studies Club (ISC) is a student-run, student-led organization that will serve to increase awareness of international issues on the TCNJ Campus. Through weekly discussions, invited speakers and competitive engagements, the ISC will facilitate the creation of more worldly and well-rounded students. The ISC will also facilitate the competition of a Model UN team and its participation in Model United nations conferences.
International Tunes A Capella
Purpose: The College of New Jersey’s International Tunes (TCNJ i-Tunes) was founded by Pooja Shah and Reka Magge in Fall 2007. i-Tunes is TCNJ’s one and only multicultural a capella group. Our group performs at various events around campus to promote musical diversity. Our musical repertoire consists of songs spanning multiple cultures in an array of languages in addition to a lot of contemporary tunes you’ll hear on the radio and won’t be able to get out of your head!

Purpose: Triota’s purpose is to pursue exceptional scholarship in Women’s and Gender Studies and encourage a commitment to activism in the discipline. Triota strives to foster a community of students, staff, and faculty for the purpose of furthering various career paths and promoting professionalism as well as feminism. As active members of this community, we strive to integrate WGS-perspectives into our diverse academic disciplines.

Purpose: The TCNJ Italian Clubs offers a space to celebrate Italian culture to all of the student body through scholastic and social events.
Japanese Culture Club
Purpose: Japanese Club is the club for enjoying, learning, and immersing in the culture of Japan. We offer the campus insight and exposure to Japanese culture, providing entertainment to students in the form of Japanese games, cultural activities, and trips.
Purpose: The purpose of TCNJ Jiva is to cultivate an appreciation of Indian classical dance, culture, art, and spirituality through performance and competition. The team will focus upon sharing knowledge, through collaborative efforts, to hone dance technique and to develop an intellectual understanding behind the theory of classical dance. Passionate students will be able to keep ancient dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Odissi alive in the TCNJ community through dedication and practice. The focus is to perform in annual competitions and on campus, while meeting other college students who are interested in classical dance as well.

Purpose: TCNJ’s Kokikai Aikido Club is dedicated to the development of the TCNJ community. Our goal to equip the community with self defense skills, as well as confidence, personal understanding, positive attitude, and and a respect for others, through martial arts. We aim to do this in a friendly environment that is conducive to learning, respect, and growth.

Purpose: Lambda Pi Eta is the official national honor society of The National Communication Association. The TCNJ Alpha Xi chapter was established in 1993. Members are currently organizing a Career Night, Grad School Day, and many other events on the TCNJ campus. TCNJ’s Alpha Xi chapter was named 2003 National Communication Association Chapter of the Year and its advisor, Dr. John Pollock, was awarded the 2003 Thomas A. Veenendall Adviser of the Year Award.

Magic Circle Game Design
Purpose: To expand our knowledge regarding game design and development by creating and discussing all kinds of games.
Purpose: The purpose of TCNJ MANHUNT Club is to give students the opportunity to play MANHUNT and MANHUNT variations (such as capture the flag, jailbreak, etc…) and running humans vz. zombies and other nerf related games.in a safe, friendly, environment. It will allow students to come meet a wide variety of people that share a common interest and foster newly created friendships among its members.

Medicine, Education, and Development for Low Income Families Everywhere
Purpose: Our organization believes health is a basic human right and access to it should not depend on gender, socioeconomic status or geographic location. As a club we raise funds and awareness around health disparities. We also send students to participate in medical brigades in South America, providing them with the knowledge and experience necessary to work on global health development issues.
Men of Distinction
Purpose: The Men of Distinction organization at TCNJ does hereby dedicate itself to increase the academic and social success of minority male students through increasing interaction and dialogue between minority male students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The Men of Distinction organization focuses on academic and life issues of minority males from retention to economic empowerment. This organization will serve unite multicultural males and act as support system. Programs will be initiated both within and outside the TCNJ community and will serve to strengthen relations between professional businesses and ethnic communities.
Purpose: The Mixed Signals are The College of New Jersey’s premiere (and only) improvisational comedy troupe! Performing FREE shows for audiences across campus, they perform a mix of short-form and long-form improv games that are sure to make you laugh!

Purpose: The purpose of the Pre-Dental Club is to act as a resource to students interested in entering the dental field in the future.
Purpose: PRISM is the first queer-straight alliance at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). We aim to create a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Ally, Asexual, Pansexual, Polyamorous, Two-Spirited, etc. (LGBTQQIAAPP2S*, referred to as queer for the remainder of this text) individuals. PRISM strives for acceptance and equality for all people regardless of gender expression, gender identity, sex, sexuality, age, race, religion, ethnicity, ability, socioeconomic status, health status, or immigration status. Our goal is to educate and advocate on TCNJ’s campus as well as the greater Mercer County area. PRISM also acts as a support system and social outlet for its members.
Project Stay Gold
Purpose: Movements begin when people are pushed and motivated by a cause that is greater than themselves. Human trafficking is the world’s second largest crime, and over 100,000 human victims are trafficked throughout our own country each year. There are over 27 million slaves around the world today, which amounts to the largest number in human history at any given time. Using the power of education and passion, we hope to raise awareness, advocate for abolition, and support rescue and prevention missions in order to combat this horrific crime. Project Stay Gold seeks to awaken a modern-day abolitionist movement among the students inside our schools, places of worship, and our places of work. Project Stay Gold desires to start the conversation. We, as college students, are highly sensitive to issues of injustice and are motivated by empathy to make a difference and to bring about positive change in our world. Project Stay Gold believes that students have the capacity to be the history makers of today. Project Stay Gold works to stop this dark part of history from repeating itself in the future.

Psi Chi International Honor Society of Psychology
Purpose: Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications.
Purpose: A club where anyone majoring, minoring, or has general interest in psychology. We sponsor events and educate the general public about any information regarding psychology.

Purpose: The purpose of the Public Health Communication Club (PHCC) is to give the rapidly growing fields of public health and health communication a presence on the TCNJ campus. With co-advisors Dr. Pollock and Dr. Hu, this club will complement the Health Communication Concentration and the Public Health minor. This club is primarily academic and service oriented.
Queer Inclusive Bible Study
Purpose: Our purpose is to serve as a safe space for people to engage in and explore the Bible and a relationship with Jesus in an inclusive community in which we are concerned with Love, prayer and commitment to each other and to God; we will do this via Bible study, prayer, journaling, discussion and reflection. Queer Inclusive Bible Study will foster and maintain relationships with other faith-based organizations and non-faith organizations, while maintaining a Christian identity. Queer Inclusive Bible Study is committed to maintaining intimacy amongst its members, and to support members who are struggling with issues of identity or faith through companionship and by providing campus resources that can assist them in their struggles.

In the process, She’s the First fosters leadership and global awareness in young Americans, by inspiring them to lead creative fundraisers and correspond with sponsored students. Our efforts shape a rising generation of well-educated global leaders, future philanthropists, and cross-cultural communicators.

Society for Parliamentary Debate, TCNJ
Purpose: The TCNJ Society for Parliamentary Debate is TCNJ’s only competitive debate society. We debate in both the British and American Parliamentary formats and hold bi-weekly meetings in the Social Sciences Atrium every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 7 p.m to prepare for competitions. Competitions are usually held from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening and are held at colleges all over the east coast.

Student Alliance to Facilitate Empathy, TCNJ
Purpose: The purpose of TCNJ SAFE is to create and provide an environment of empathy for students by conducting supportive group meetings, which will be non-directive, non-therapeutic, and entirely student run. We want to work hand in hand with Disability Support Services to create an all-inclusive, stigma-free environment. Our goal is for students to view us as a resource that is affiliated with (but not limited to) disability affected students. We want to reach every corner of the TCNJ community, if only to make students realize that we are available as a support network. The club will not attempt to diagnose, treat, or give advice to students, but instead will work toward establishing a empathetic environment for students to share their feelings about the conflicts and stresses in their lives.

Purpose: The purpose of the Student Chemists Association shall be to afford an opportunity for students of the chemical sciences to become acquainted with one another, to secure the intellectual stimulation that arises from professional association, to foster a professional spirit among the members, and to promote an awareness of the responsibilities and challenges of the modern chemist.

Purpose: The Student Film Union is a TCNJ student run organization filled with people that love film. The purpose of the Student Film Union is to serve as an original and inventive experience in which students, faculty and professionals in the film industry collaborate, create and build filmmaking skills.
Student Finance Board
Purpose: The Student Finance Board (hereafter referred to as SFB) is dedicated to governing and appropriating the Student Activity Fund, in a financially responsible manner, in order to provide constructive programming and services to the students of The College of New Jersey. The SFB values and supports programs which promote educational, entertainment, diversity and recreational opportunities for TCNJ students. The primary goal of the SFB is to allocate the Student Activity Fund in such a way as to benefit the greatest and most diverse number of TCNJ students possible.

Purpose: Student Government here at The College of New Jersey consists of a collaborative group of members who serve as representatives to their fellow students by exemplifying professionalism, active leadership, and dedication in all they do. Purpose: The Student New Jersey Education Association aims to target future leaders who want to peruse any educational profession. This is a professional development organization that gives students access to conferences, programs and activities pertaining to education like the ones they will be attending in the future when they become full time teachers. SNJEA is a local branch off the state teacher’s union for students, the New Jersey Student Education Association.
Student Nurses Association
Purpose: SNA at TCNJ is an organization to bring together nursing students, serve as a voice for the nursing student body, play an active role within the SGA as well as work together to promote health awareness in the community, offer leadership opportunities, and become involved on the national and state level through NJNS and NSNA.
Student Transfer Association
Purpose: The purpose of STA is to facilitate the transitional period for incoming transfer students The College of New Jersey. The STA goal is to both welcome newly matriculated students to the community as well inform students about the opportunities that TCNJ provides whether academically, socially, or other extra circular aspects. Finally, the goal of STA is to enrich the TCNJ community by bridging the gap between transfer and non-transfer students. Specifically, STA will do so by hosting events geared toward social networking and pairing new transfer students with current students for academic and logistical support.

Swing Dance Club, TCNJ
Purpose: TCNJ Swing stands by one goal: to preserve, maintain and celebrate the historic legacy of swing dancing and continue it on the TCNJ campus.
Synergy Dance Company, TCNJ
Purpose: Synergy began in the Spring of 1999. We practice a variety of different types of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, pointe, modern, etc. Every year we work harder to make this a worthwhile and fun club. In the Fall semester we work hard on training, strengthening, technique, and learning combinations. In the Spring semester all our effort is put into our wonderful recital, which we perform at the end of April. Dancers have the opportunity to choreograph their own dances and have them performed as a group in our show.
Purpose: Our purpose is to create a community of people able to play and enjoy taiko together, to provide an outlet for interested individuals to develop technique, learn new pieces, and express themselves creatively through taiko, and to promote an appreciation of taiko and Japanese culture throughout the TCNJ community.
Teachers of Young Children Association
Purpose: The Teachers of Young Children Association is a college sponsored organization that works to provide meaningful involvement and valuable professional opportunities for all students at The College of New Jersey interested in working with children. TYC does not require members to be studying in the field of education. Rather we encourage anyone who would like an opportunity to teach children through being a role model to join!
Technology Educator’s Society
Purpose: The Technology Education Society (TES) is a student run organization whose main purpose is to actively promote the learning and exploration of the Math/Science/Technology and Technological Education world. All M/S/T and Tech Ed majors are a part of TES. Students are welcome to attend general TES meetings and are highly encouraged to participate in competitions, workshops, and trips. It is a great way to make friends within the major and also meet and get to know the faculty.
Purpose: Our mission is to promote charitable giving among students and young professionals in the local and national community and beyond; to drive a movement of creative altruism, unparalleled giving, and preservation of diversity and culture; to bring hands on volunteerism to our local communities and hope to our global society; to create and maintain a diverse community that learns through multiple perspectives.
Theta Phi Alpha Sorority
Purpose: The Mission of Theta Phi Alpha is to create close comradeship, to advance educational, social and philanthropic interests and leadership training; to encourage spiritual development and adherence to the highest moral standards; and to promote lifelong bonds of friendship. “Ever loyal, ever lasting.”
To Write Love on Her Arms, TCNJ
Purpose:To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA University Chapters is a network of student organizations on college and university campuses that exist to embody the mission and vision of To Write Love on Her Arms. Through organized meetings and events, our chapter serves as a voice of hope, inspiration, and support for students and their surrounding communities.
Purpose: The purpose of the TCNJ Treblemakers will be for female students to work together in an ensemble and study and perform a variety of a cappella music in concerts open to the TCNJ community and at public outreach and other campus events.

Unified Greek Council, The
Purpose: The Mission: “The purpose and mission of the Unified Greek Council is to promote unity among cultural-based Greek organizations and enhance cultural awareness within the campus community.”
Union Latina Student Organization
Purpose: Union Latina Student Organization is an organization that promotes unity within the Latino student body and other students from all races and ethnic backgrounds. We strive to achieve this goal by providing educational, social programs for the student body. We also try to establish awareness for the Latino culture and extend open arms to all students, faculty, and staff. As members of Union Latina we hope to encourage the dreams, goals, and mission of the organization to the best of our ability.
Voice of Hope
Purpose: As TCNJ’s only Christian A Capella group, Voice of Hope’s mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song, skits, and personal testimonies.
VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood
Purpose: We strive to educate the public and campus community about sexual health and reproductive rights. We also aim to teach others about the resources that Planned Parenthood provides. Through programming, service, and political activism, our members reach out to the immediate community and beyond in hopes of making a difference.
Purpose: Water Watch is an environmental organization at The College of New Jersey that is committed to helping maintain not only the environment on campus, but in our local area as well. As an organization, we strive to better the environment via campus cleanups, stream-walking,campus education, and our increasingly successful annual Earth Week every April.
Women in Computer Science
Purpose: The goal of WiCS is to expand the Computer Science community by attracting women and minority groups to the major as well as retaining fellow women and minorities groups in the field of Computer Science. We hope to accomplish this through academic oureach, on-campus events, encouragement, peer mentoring, collaborative projects, and similar activities. Being a minority in our field, we are also especially concerned with other underrepresented groups, but WiCS is by no means exclusive. WiCS welcomes as members anyone who shares our goals and commitment to recruiting and promoting women and minorities in Computer Science.
Women in Learning and Leadership
Purpose: The WILL Program strives to foster a deeper understanding of gender and its intersections with race, culture, class, sexuality and other aspects of social identity. By connecting students with each other, and to a strong supportive network of faculty, staff, alumnae and community mentors, WILL students develop critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, problem-solving and leadership skills. In addition, WILL students participate in a variety of community engaged learning projects designed to promote positive participation in the global community. This program provides opportunities for women to explore career and life choices in multiple disciplines that enable them to excel and realize their full potential.
Women’s Center, The
Purpose: We, as members of the Women’s Center at The College of New Jersey, hereby claim to support and work toward the following goals. The Feminization of Power: To move more women into the policy-making positions of our government. To promote job equity and equal pay for women. To secure a safe working environment free from discrimination. To increase the influence of women in the affairs of business, education, and all other public institutions. Community Development : To promote the relationship between women’s organizations and the surrounding community. To participate in community service and outreach programs, and to implement feminist ideals within the greater society. Reconstruction of Human Relationships: To create feelings of good will, tolerance, and respect for people of all religions, races, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientation, and gender. Reproductive Freedom: To present all options to women with regard to the right to a safe, accessible, and unrestricted abortion. To educate women in schools, businesses, and other public institutions with regard to the use of safe and accessible contraceptives. To promote the implementation of a national health care system which advocates federal funding for the distribution of contraceptives, Planned Parenthood programs, and abortion clinics. To secure freedom from violence for those who choose to have an abortion. Fighting Violence Against Women: To end rape, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and all other acts of harm against women.
WTSR 91.3 FM
Purpose: WTSR-FM is a trend-setting 1500-watt non-commercial educational radio station serving Mercer and Bucks County. We broadcast the best and the latest in new music from independent and local artists, over 20 genres of specialty music, hourly local news, and college sports from our studios at The College of New Jersey.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated
Purpose: We, a group of college women, organized as the sister Greek letter Sorority to Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, do hereby bind ourselves together for the purposes of promoting the cause of education by encouraging the highest standards of scholarship through scientific, literary, cultural and educational programs: promoting charitable projects on college campuses and within the community; fostering the spirit of sisterly love and promoting the ideal of Finer Womanhood.
